Data used by the app

Learn German – The Fun Way does not require an account and does not send learning answers, scores, game state, settings, or the included- question count to LindenCode. Apple's WebKit storage keeps this information locally so the app can remember your activity.

The in-app reset removes learning and game results but deliberately keeps the lifetime count used for the 100 included questions. Deleting the app removes the app's local storage. A Full Access entitlement is held by Apple and can be restored with the same Apple Account.

No advertising identifier is accessed. The app does not request or use third-party analytics, advertising, profiling, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or biometric data.

App Store purchases

Apple processes Full Access purchases, restoration, refunds, and revocations. The app uses StoreKit to request the product, show Apple's localized price, start a purchase, and verify the entitlement. LindenCode does not receive your complete payment-card details or Apple Account credentials. Apple may provide LindenCode with transaction and financial reports.

Apple's processing is governed by its App Store privacy information, privacy policy, and applicable media-services terms.

Support messages and calls

If you contact us, LindenCode processes your contact details, message, attachments, and technical information you choose to provide. We use them to answer and document the request, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims. Do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request or providing the requested support, LindenCode's legitimate interest in operating and securing the product, and legal obligations where applicable. Contacting support is optional; without a reply address and enough information, we may be unable to help.

Support is handled through LindenCode's contracted email and telecommunications providers. Email provider: DreamHost, LLC, PMB #327, 417 Associated Road, Brea, CA 92821, USA; MailChannels infrastructure is published in the domain's mail records (provider privacy information). Messages are kept until the request is resolved and then only for as long as needed for follow-up, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or legal claims. The current retention rule is: Support messages are deleted 12 months after the request is closed, unless longer retention is necessary to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Processing and transfer safeguards: DreamHost states that processing may occur in the United States, Singapore, and the Netherlands and provides a data-processing addendum with transfer safeguards, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses..

Where the GDPR applies and its conditions are met, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us at the email address above. We normally respond within one month and may need enough information to verify your identity.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria. Its data-subject rights page explains the available rights and complaint route.

Children and changes

The app is a general-audience learning tool. It does not ask a child to create an account or send learning activity to LindenCode. A parent or guardian can contact us about a support message sent by a child. Material changes to this policy will be dated and published at this URL before they take effect where advance notice is required.
